Another day, another book. The next book on my list was, Understanding exposure : how to shoot great photographs with any camera by Bryan Peterson. This is the 3rd edition of this book and while not much has changed (this edition’s new topics are flash (really? it took three editions?) and HDR photography). This book is an excellent source for exposure information. One could read this book and be prepared for almost all photographic situations and know what kind of exposure to use be it “creative” or correct. I was given this book along with my DSLR and I have really enjoyed having the foundational knowledge it provides. HDR photography is only marginally covered so if you are interested in this method, check out Trey Ratcliff’s HDR Tutorial.
